    that has to be a first in MLB history

    I didnt necessarily agree with Kubel being pinch hit for on monday, but pinch hitting for Gomez was the absolute right thing to do. Papelbon would have struck out Gomez on four pitches or less  guarenteed

    i agree......which makes me wonder why gomez is leading off

    Absolutely agree with the take on Gomez.  He would be swinging from his heels in a situation like that.  He's young and that's just what young players do.

    Actually the last time he faced Pap, he walked and ended up being the winning run in the ninth in what was probably the most exciting game so far this year. But the knee jerk reactors have very bad memories and live by the what have you done for me now????

    Yeah you have to pinch hit Gomez there, I actually thought Gardy might go with pinching Lamb due to the trend that Lamb set. 

    And Go-Go has to go-go to the 9 hole today against Beckett.
