I got 2 St. Croix Avid rods at 40% off. Check it out guys.

What length, power and action did they have?

I stopped by the New Reeds in Onemia and they were having a St. Croix rod sale as well. They also had Avids at 50% off, but the rods were like 8ft heavy power or a 6-3 med/heavy moderate action. All non-common sizes or power. I couldn't find any rods that were 6-6 to 7 ft and medium or med/heavy. The rods were a lot of the rods that were on sale at the Sportsshow in April at the Reeds both.

I got a nice little 5-6 ultra light and a 7 ft med light fast action. There were a few other UL's and others.

Was it just St. Croix rods on sale? Any deals for reels, lures or electronics?

Come to think about it I bought a new St. Croix at the Thorne's booth at the Sportsshow this year. The Throne Brothers guy told me reason they were on sale is because St. Croix added some new gimick their rods this year, so they were closing out last year's models. Anyways, I love the rod I got (baitcasting 7' med-mod) and you'll love the feel of those Avid.
