Pizza [pi] Favorite places to eat in Chicago?

I'm heading out there tomorrow. Any recommendations for pizza, Italian subs, Italian beef sandwiches, asian cuisine or any other food that blows your mind?

Any out-of-the-way attractions I might want to check out beyond the typical museums?

    Rosebud Steakhouse!!!! (http://rosebudrestaurants.com)
Best cheeseburger I have ever had- and it is not even close.

Guy in our group talked the place up for ever- so we went with the idea of mocking his overstating of the greatness- wow were we suprised.  Probably a 12 burger if I recall. Place is near the Hancock Building.

There are some really fun bars up in the wrigleyville area, but I was so drunk I don't remember what they were called (There was a German place called HB that had some great big beers, thats all i recall)

Go find yourself an Al's Mr. Beef. They're to flippin' die for!

Sure a person can go to Portillo's... by Al's is a little more authentic.

If you're in the Mt. Prospect area, Frankie's Two is a great place too. Off of... Elmhurst and Algonquin.

Check out anything in the south or west sides of town, you should have a great time.

Tons of good food in Chicago. Ask the locals in the area. But I still like Uno's/Due's pizza best. Due's is exactly ilke Uno's with less of a line. Portillo's is good.

    Any takes on Giordano's?

How about Bari Foods or Fontano's for Italian beefs or subs?

I have had Giordano's. They are okay, but you can find better. I also ate a place called 110 eatery, on Michigan avenue I think. It was pretty standard American bistro food but good no less.

Yes... there is no doubt Portillo's is good. But Al's Mr. Beef has a better atmosphere. It's like going to mom and pop store instead of a Friday's.

But you can't go wrong either way.
