Bill Hall: What would it take to get him?

I saw his name mentioned on mlbtraderumors.com as being available, why are the Brewers looking to part with him if they are in the hunt hopefully for the Wild Card, not the division??

If he were available what would it take to get him and would the Twins do it?

What do we have in the pipeline (Minor Leagues prospect wise) at Third Base?

As long as McHale is the GM, they may as well be the Smiling Huskies again!

Re: Bill Hall: What would it take to get him?

Even I would have a tough time defending Bill Hall this year and he's always been one of my favorites.  Big Grin

On the flip side, he has been really jerked around by Yost.  He played SS in 06, which was his team MVP year, then they moved him to CF last year and THEN, when he finally got very good in CF, they moved him to 3B.  And now he's platooning with Russell Branyan, although I don't think it will last long.

He's never going to be a great player, but I think he'd be much better than this year's stats if he was ever given a little position stability.  His ability to play so many positions has probably hurt him.

But Yost is an a-hole.  The only bad thing about the Brewers getting CC is that it means that loser (Yost) will save his job.

Re: Bill Hall: What would it take to get him?

I would actually love to get him. Let me explain.

He's hitting .378 vs. LHP. And with his versatility to play almost all positions, he could platoon with any lefty in our lineup, especially Brian Buscher, who's struggled mightily vs. LHP this year.

He would be cheap to get. Hitting .226 this year, he might only take a mid-level arm or arms. He's a career .260 hitter, so he would most likely not end up at .226, who can draw walks and would be another righty with some pop in his bat. He wants out of Milwaukee and this could actually be a realistic move for us.

strikes out a lot and is a bad defender. I would want him about as much as I would want Delta Burke.

Bill Hall:  What would it take to get him?  I believe a Snickers and Coca Cola would be sufficient.
