They left out tight end.  And who said Mason couldn't recruit?  Oh wait, you mean these rankings you guys get hard ons over don't always pan out....hmmmm

At 6 feet 3 and 255 pounds, Daniels can play defensive end, linebacker and running back. He was ranked the 11th-best athlete in the nation by Rivals.com after he led Brookhaven to a state title in 2004.

Idea Yeah what he did was stupid, but he is turning his young immature mistake around, and if he can play and get an education then let him. All the best to him and his future.

And 1 and 2 star guys dont always become super stars, even though Mason did find a handful out of the hundreds he brought in.  Don't worry we all know Mason's one 4 star guy from that class didn't "pan out".  Even though he did play a lot of downs, I guess if you think he didn't live up to his ranking enough then maybe one of Brewster's seven four star guys will live up to your expectations.

Remember how the Gopher situation was different than the Hawk situation because Daniels was a senior..... ooooops

Remember how the Gopher situation was different from the Hawk situation because the Hawkeyes involved were freshman who didn't get any PT compared to being the best players on the Goofers team?

    Of course you don't.

And didn't this article call Dom Jones a junior?

He was actually a Heisman Favorite after his first 3 games at RB.

Nice logic. Yeah, I have no idea why teams go for more highly rated players. I mean they don't always pan out. Brilliant.

Maybe not very logical, but if Punky said it ("I don't need highly rated HS guys b/c we can identify the guys who fit in our system") you clueless fools would lap it up.

Well, this has nothing to do with Brewster. It has to do with high ranked players panning more often than lower ranked players.

It does now.  Question, what is the difference between these two guys?

    Answer - one win

The difference seems to be one can recruit and one can't. We will see if one can coach and one can't. Doesn't change the fact that your statement about highly ranked players was dumb even when you try to change the subject. Please alert the media...not every highly ranked player pans out.

Tony Robbins is a better recruiter than Tim Brewster and he has the millions of dollars to prove it.

This statement is not only not dumb, it's true.  You, asseater, are the one reading too much into a statement.  I never said they don't pan out more regularly than one or two stars.  You said I did, but I didn't say it.  Look closer.  Find it, jackass.

Can you backtrack any faster? You implied that because Daniels was a 4 star recruit by Mason and had to leave campus that we should not get excited about good recruits coming to Minnesota because they don't all pan out. Why else would you even say it backtracker?

Implied?  I said the rankings don't always pan out.  They don't.  You can get excited about anything you want.  And I implied that you would in fact get excited about anything Punky told you to get excited about.

Re: Alex Daniels lands at cinci...maybe

The fact that you called Daniels one of the best players ruins your credibility. He sat his first year as a redshirt linebacker. He couldn't hack it so they moved him to running back where he was good against Kent State before losing that job too. In the next season they moved him back to DE where he was projected to be the second or third end on the worst defense in the history of college football. I would say he was not one of the best "Goofers"
