Would have been nice to see Delmon do something productive early

The only way he's going to get weaned off this habit is to be yanked from the game and have his asss thrown on the bench the second he does it.  Do it again?  Bench again.  Again?  Bench again.  That's the way it's going to have to be.

But Gardy doesn't have the balls to do it.

Bases loaded and fuckking Delmon dribbles a high pitch back to the pitcher.

Delmon is a punk, but Gardy's a punk enabler for putting up with it.  It's not like Delmon's just a bad player.  He's actually a very talented player, but also a very stupid, undisciplined one.  Common sense and patience are two huge keys to success in baseball especially.  Delmon has neither.  Can it be corrected?  Yes.  So someone needs to start doing some correcting.

Baker lookin good so far, we just don't need Delmon to swing at the first pitch with the bases loaded, especially after Dice-K walked 2 batters in the inning.

Maybe they need to give Young a bonus for K-looking?

Like I've said before, he has clue about what he is doing.  He just swings no matter what.  This isn't the first time that the pitcher has walked a few on before him and he has bounced out on a first pitch pitcher's pitch.  That ball a terrible pitch to hit, high and in on the hands.

You don't have to be a genius to play baseball, but you can't be a COMPLETE moron, either.

I think tonight is our best shot to win.  Baker has matured into an outstanding pitcher. 

I remember from the past couple of seasons when Baker went out and pitched so solidy against the Yanks it was just a matter of time before he gets it. And guess what I think he gets it.

Thanks  I was thinking umm lets get this kid some plate appearnces and some games under his belt and go with it. The kid is young and learning imagine what happens when he gets it.

I've defended the guy ad nauseum, but there comes a point where he needs to start learning from his mistakes.  I have no problem with swinging at the first pitch, I wish Mauer would do it more, but it's not like this is D-League softball.  I'm pretty sure most MLB scouts have noticed that he's a first-pitch swinger.
